Quiz 16 Mar 2024
Another of our popular quiz nights so don't forget to book your table. Tables of 6-8. Bring your own refreshments. Please note another change of venue. We are back to 7.30, this time at All Saints Church Hall, Bishop's Close, Bercta Road, New Eltham SE9 3UT. Tables are limited so place book your team early.

The Olympics & other Pastimes - the British Museum 14 Apr 2024
Dr William Sterling is again leading a tour for us at the British Museum, those of you who have been before, know how fascinating they always are so do book your tickets early, numbers limited to 20. With the Olympics Cycle getting back to normal this year with the Games in Paris, this tour will look at the Original Olympic Games but also other Sports, Games and Pastimes over the last 4,000 years of World History. From the "Royal Game of Ur" one of the oldest board games in the world, through Roman Gladiator fights, Mediaeval Chess and Theatre and Dance in the Eighteenth century, we will look at the huge variety of ways our ancestors found to amuse and delight themselves when not working.

Bring and Buy Plant Sale 09 Jun 2024
Enjoy a cream tea and stroll around the garden. Bric-a-brac stall in the front. Books. All plant donations very welcome. There is also a garden sundries stall so any tools, pots etc you don't want please bring them along. Entrance 50p - just turn up.
